War Of Independence
when Israel became a nation. It was established as a parliamentary democracy.
“Over the next few days the armies of Egypt, Trans-Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, and Syria invaded Israel, and officially and militarily threatened to occupy the whole of the former Mandate territory, thereby starting the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, known in Israel as the War of Independence (Hebrew: מלחמת העצמאות, Milhamat HaAtzma’ut). A truce began on 11 June, but fighting resumed on 8 July and stopped again on 18 July, before restarting in mid-October and finally ending on 24 July 1949 with the signing of the armistice agreement with Syria. By then Israel had retained its independence and increased its land area by almost 50% compared to the 1947 UN Partition Plan”

Between 1948 1952 there were around 800,000 Jews expelled from Arab countries. Most of these Jews fled to Israel. They were absorbed into the population. During the 20 century and at one point there were about 650,000 Arabs that fled Israel. They were kept in refugee camps. They received no help from the Arab population. The refugees become part of a propaganda campaign. Many were placed in camps and filmed for propaganda. This propaganda was placed on media outlets all over the world.

Yasser Arafat begins to organize the Palestinian radicals in Cairo in 1951. He recruits leaders for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Over the next few years terrorist raids hits in Gaza and other areas. The Israeli army adopts a policy of reprisals. When they get hit they hit back hard. This begins to work. After a while it becomes apparent that these attacks were going on with the knowledge and cooperation of Arab governments. They engage in this type of warfare because it’s deniable. The Arab Governments can provide the funds for the raids and then deny supporting Arafat.
Peace for us means the destruction of Israel. We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations… We shall not rest until the day when we return to our home, and until we destroy Israel.-Yasser Arafat

The Sinai Campaign
“As described in Background of the Sinai Campaign, the continued blockade of the Suez Canal and Gulf of Aqaba to Israeli shipping, combined with the increased fedayeen attacks and the bellicosity of recent Arab statements, prompted Israel, with the backing of Britain and France, to attack Egypt on October 29, 1956. The Sinai Campaign of 1956 (Operation Kadesh) was a swift, sweeping operation of 100 hours, under the leadership of then Chief of the General Staff, Moshe Dayan, with the result that the entire Sinai peninsula fell into Israeli hands, at a cost of 231 soldiers killed. Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Abba Eban explained the provocations to the Security Council on October 30:”

The diplomatic reason for the raid was to threaten the Suez canal and to give the French and the British the pretext they needed to go invade in order to “protect” the canal. Twice there was a UN resolution to a cease-fire and twice France and Britain veto’s it. A cease-fire was finally agreed to in November. Dwight Eisenhower Guarantees the shipping lanes for Israel. The USA and Soviet presser on Israeli forces makes Israel withdraw without a treaty. They only had the promise of protection from The United States.
The Six Day War
In 1964 the PLO is organized. Their charter is to liberate all of Palestine. It calls for Israel’s complete destruction. In 1967 there are Egyptian blockades to Israel’s ships in the Red Sea. The American’s promise to protect Israel does not take effect. From June 5 to June 10th Israel defeated Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan.
“Israel’s first and most critical move was a surprise attack on the Egyptian Air Force. Egypt had by far the largest and the most modern of all the Arab air forces, consisting of about 420 combat aircraft, all of them Soviet-built and with a heavy quota of top-of-the line MiG-21 capable of attaining Mach 2 speed. Initially, both Egypt and Israel announced that they had been attacked by the other country.”
The closure of the Strait of Tiran was the casus belli in 1967. Israel’s attack was a reaction to this Egyptian first strike. President Johnson acknowledged as much after the war on June 19, 1967. Egypt, (armed by the Russians), Syria, Iraq, and Jordan were planing to attack, but Israel struck first.

Israel wins this war in Just 6 days and they regain the city of Jerusalem. Following this war Israel’s strategic position has changed and now Israel had a great defensive position for the first time since they became a nation.
War of Attrition
In 1969 Yasser Arafat gains total control of the PLO and a link between the CIA is established. Between 1969 and 1970 a series of terror attacks by the PLO increase. Egypt and Syria launch continued attacks between the Golan Heights and the Suez Canal. This is referred to as the War of Attrition. Israel develops a policy of hitting back hard and that stops a lot of attacks.
On March 8, 1969, Nasser proclaimed the official launch of the War of Attrition, characterized by large-scale shelling along the Suez Canal, extensive aerial warfare and commando raids. Hostilities continued until August 1970 and ended with a ceasefire, the frontiers remaining the same as when the war began, with no real commitment to serious peace negotiations.

Black September

In 1970 Nasser dies and is succeeded by Anwar Sadat. The PLO attempt to take over Jordan in an event called black September. Up to this time the PLO were launching attacks into Israel from Jordan. The violence resulted in the deaths of thousands of people, the vast majority being Palestinian. Armed conflicts lasted until July 1971 and it ended with the expulsion of the PLO and thousands of Palestinian fighters. Lebanon becomes the new headquarters for the PLO and all terrorist activities are now conducted from Lebanon.
On September 1, 1970, several attempts to assassinate the king of Jordan failed. On September 7, in the series of Dawson’s Field hijackings, three planes were hijacked by PFLP. A Swiss Air Plane and a TWA Plane were landed in the Azraq area and a Pan Am flight was landed in Cairo. Then on September 9th, a BOAC flight from Bahrain was also hijacked to Zarqa. The PFLP announced that the hijackings were intended “to pay special attention to the Palestinian problem”. After all hostages were removed, the planes were dramatically blown up for the media in front of TV cameras. Directly confronting and angering the Jordan King, the rebels declared the Irbid area a “liberated region On September 15,
King Hussein declared martial law. The next day, Jordanian tanks (the 60th Armored Brigade of the Jordanian Army) attacked the headquarters of the Palestinian organizations in Amman. The army also attacked camps in Irbid, Salt, Sweileh, Baq’aa, Wehdat and Zarqa. Then they attacked the head of the Pakistani training mission to Jordan. Brigadier Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq (Chief of Army Staff and President of Pakistan) took command of the 2nd division. However, the Jordanians could not devote all their attention to the Palestinians. By the time it was over 3,000 Palestinians were killed. Syria attempts to intervene, but they receive a strong warning from Israel. Syria is told by Israel that they will go to war on behalf of Jordan. Israel saves Jordan’s throne.

In 1972 there was a massacre of 11 Olympic athletes. This event gives the PLO international fame.

Yom Kippur War
The Yom Kippur War broke out between Egypt and Israel in 1973. On October 22nd The United Nations ceasefire agreement quickly unraveled, with each side blaming the other for the breach. By October 24th the Israelis had improved their positions considerably and completed their encirclement of Egypt’s Third Army.
In 1975 The UN introduces a resolution that declares Zionism racist. In that same year civil war develops in Lebanon as the Christians and the PLO begin to fight with each other. The PLO is backed by the Muslims. This is completely ignored by the western press and the United Nations. This war lasts until Syria invades Lebanon. The PLO continues to attack Israel from Lebanon In 1977 and in 1978 tensions escalated between the two countries. On March 11th 1978, eleven Fatah fighters landed on a beach in northern Israel and proceeded to hijack two buses full of passengers on the Haifa – Tel-Aviv road, shooting at passing vehicles. They killed 37 and wounded 76 Israelis before being killed in a firefight with Israeli forces.

Operation Entebbe
Operation Entebbe was a counter-terrorist hostage-rescue mission carried out by the Special Forces of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on July 4th 1976. On June 27th, an Air France plane with 248 passengers was hijacked by Palestinian and German terrorists and flown to Entebbe, near Kampala, the capital of Uganda. The Terrorist were under the protection of Idi Amin’s Army
The operation took place at night, as Israeli transport planes carried 100 commandos over 2,500 miles to Uganda for the rescue operation. The operation, which took a week of planning, lasted 90 minutes and 102 hostages were rescued. Five Israeli commandos were wounded. The commander, Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, was killed. All the hijackers, three hostages and 45 Ugandan soldiers were also killed.
Yonatan Netanyahu is the brother of Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin is the current Prime minister of Israel as of this writing. Years later under the Clinton administration he is forced to shake the hand of the murderer Yasser Arafat. This man is directly responsible for Entebbe. This is the event that led to his brother’s death.

In 1977 Menachem Begin wins the election. His political party is known as the Likud party. His 1977 electoral victory and premiership ended three decades of Labor Party political dominance. He probably served as Opposition Leader longer than anyone in the history of modern democratic politics. Anwar El Sadat accepts an invitation by Begin and this leads to the Camp David Accords.
Before all of this Sadat expelled the Soviet military advisers from Egypt and proceeded to whip his army into shape for a renewed confrontation with Israel. During this time, Egypt was suffering greatly from economic problems caused by the Six-Day War and the Soviet relationship also declined due to their unreliability and refusal of Sadat’s requests for more military support. The Egyptian–Israeli Peace Treaty was signed by Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in The United States, Washington D.C., on March 26 1979, following the Camp David Accords. (1978) This is the only good thing that happened from the Carter Administration!
The main issues in this agreement was the mutual recognition of each country by the other. (This was a really big deal for Israel) This marked the end of the state of war that had existed since the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and it led to the complete withdrawal by Israel of its armed forces and civilians from the rest of the Sinai Peninsula which Israel had captured during the 1967 Six-Day War. Israel gives everything back as a land for peace type of deal. This interpretation is widely contested because it implies that Israeli withdrawal is linked to its neighbors’ willingness to formally make peace. Radical Palestinian’s at this point called for the destruction of Israel. Land for peace has been used as a means of an attempt to destroy nations in the past. We will get to that.

On October 6th 1981, Sadat was assassinated during the annual victory parade held in Cairo to celebrate Egypt’s crossing of the Suez Canal. Eleven others were killed, including the Cuban Ambassador, an Omani general, and a Coptic Orthodox bishop. Twenty-eight were wounded, including Vice President Hosni Mubarak, Irish Defense Minister James Tully, and four US military liaison officers. The assassination squad was led by Lieutenant Khalid Islambouli after a fatwā approving the assassination had been obtained from Omar Abdel-Rahman. Islambouli was tried, found guilty, sentenced to death. He was executed in April 1982.
In 1982 the Soviet and American Détente allowed 200,000 Jews to return to Israel. On April 3rd 1982 In Paris France, a young woman shot and killed Ya’acov Bar-Simantov, attaché. The shooting took place in the Israeli Embassy in Paris. The Revolutionary Armed Factions of Lebanon claimed responsibility for the attack. The assailant succeeded in escaping. This event helped lead to the Lebanon war.

As a result of this the PLO was expelled from Lebanon. They are forced to relocate to Tunisia. Israel was willing to grant autonomy to the Palestinians living in their country. The US state department forces Israel to negotiate with the PLO living in Tunisia. The PLO is still a terrorist organization at this point.
The M.S. Achille Lauro was a cruise ship. On October 7, 1985, four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) took control of the liner off Egypt as she was sailing from Alexandria to Port Said. The hijackers had been surprised by a crew member and they acted prematurely. Holding the passengers and crew hostage, they directed the vessel to sail to Tartus, Syria. They demand the release of 50 Palestinians then in Israeli prisons. After being refused permission to dock at Tartus, the hijackers killed disabled Jewish-American passenger Leon Klinghoffer and then threw his body overboard while still in his wheel chair. The ship then headed back towards Port Said. After two days of negotiations, the hijackers agreed to abandon the liner in exchange for safe-conduct and they were flown towards Tunisia aboard an Egyptian commercial airliner.

This caused the US to take the lead on the war against terror. 1986 The US and Britain bombs Libya for its role in terrorist attacks. In 1987 the PLO is banned by US law for terrorist activity. This leads to the start of the first Intifada in 1988. In that same year, the PLO pressures king Hussein to give up the west bank and his claims to it. The PLO declares a Palestinian state in the west bank with its capital in Jerusalem. This is in spite of the fact that Israel has already made Jerusalem their capital.

During the first Bush administration, at the 43rd assembly in Geneva. The United States formally recognizes the PLO. There is a 4 point peace initiative given for Palestine and to the PLO which include a call for elections for a municipal government. This was rejected by the Arab Nations and then undermined by the Bush Baker administration.

There is a second wave of immigration that starts and over 600,000 Jews return to Israel in 5 years. The Bush administration bypasses the Likud party which is the elected body in Israel. They begin negotiations with the labor party. This is because they perceive this party as making more territory concessions. After these things Iraq invades Kuwait. During the first gulf war Saddam launches scud missiles against Israel. Israel is kept from intervening by the US because the US believes the coalition against Saddam will fall apart.
On May 22, 1989, Secretary of State Baker had told an AIPAC audience, that Israel should abandon its expansionist policies. This remark was perceived by many as a signal that the pro-Israel Reagan years were over. After the Gulf War on March 6, 1991, President Bush addressed Congress in a speech often cited as the Bush administration’s principal policy statement on the new order in the Middle East following the expulsion of Iraqi forces from Kuwait.
The Madrid peace conference took place in 1991. American Secretary of State, James Baker accomplished what he had initially set out to do. Peace negotiations which would lead to closer cooperation and reconciliation between the countries of the Middle East. However, Middle East scholar Louise Fawcett argues that by 1993 when Clinton came to office ‘the initial momentum of Madrid had slowed down.” Israel is branded as the main obstacle to peace in the Middle East. At least this is the rhetoric by the PLO and other Arab groups. They claim all gulf war as Israel’s fault. They declare Israel to be the chief obstacle to peace.

In 1992 Israel is still involved with bringing the 600,000 Jewish immigrants back to its homeland. The United States Freezes a loan guarantee. Not an actual loan but a loan guarantee. This would aid in the absorption of these refugees. The United States does this for political reasons to try to bring the labor party back into power. The US forced the results of the upcoming election.

In 1992 and 1993 there are secret negotiations with the PLO in Oslo Norway. These are negotiations concerning the agreements that were an outgrowth of the Madrid Conference of 1991. They were conducted secretly in Oslo, Norway. The negotiations were hosted by the Fafo institute, and completed on August 20 1993. The Accords were subsequently officially signed at a public ceremony in Washington, DC on September 13 1993, in the presence of PLO chairman Yasser Arafat, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, and US President Bill Clinton.
In essence, the accords called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from parts of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and affirmed a Palestinian right of self-government within those areas through the creation of a Palestinian Interim Self-Government Authority. Palestinian rule was to last for a five-year interim period during which “permanent status negotiations” would commence no later than May 1996. This was in order to reach a final agreement. The Israeli government recognized the PLO as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, while the PLO recognized the right of the state of Israel to exist and renounced terrorism as well as other violence, and its desire for the destruction of the Israeli state. (umm yeah right ok then)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yitzhak_Rabin
Rabin campaigned on the promise that there would be no giving back of Israeli land. This is among several other unfulfilled promises he made. Rabin went back on all his promises just after 30 days in office. In 1994 Yasser Arafat receives the Nobel Peace Prize. After all the blood on this man’s hands he gets the Nobel Peace Prize? In 1995 Rabin and Clinton gave Yasser Arafat Bethlehem. On October 5th of 1995 Rabin made a speech declaring that the bible is not Israel’s title deed. 30 days later Rabin is assassinated.
George W Bush has maintained a desire to resume the peace process in Israel, and had openly proclaimed his desire for a Palestinian state to be created before 2005. He outlined a road map for peace in cooperation with Russia, The European Union, and the United Nations, which featured compromises that had to be made by both sides before Palestinian statehood could become a reality. One particular proposal was his insistence on new Palestinian leadership. This was a stance that saw the appointment of the first ever Palestinian Prime Minister on April 29, 2003. Bush had denounced Palestine Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat for continued support of violence and militant groups. The new Palestinian Prime Minister, Mahmoud Abbas took Arafat’s place. By the end of 2003, neither side had done what was outlined in the plan.
In April 2004 Bush announced that he endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to disengage from the Gaza Strip but retain Jewish settlements in the West Bank. He also announced agreement with Sharon’s policy of denying the right of return. This led to condemnation from Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, as well as Arab and European governments. This was a major departure from previous U.S. foreign policy in the region. Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak commented that Bush’s policies had led to an ‘unprecedented hatred’ of Arabs for the U.S.
The first reports of Arafat’s treatment by his doctors for what his spokesman said was the “flu” came on October 25th 2004. Arafat was pronounced dead at 3:30 am UTC on November 11th 2004 at the age of 75.

Barak Obama’s Policies with Israel has been nothing short of disastrous. In March 2007, Obama told Democratic activists in Iowa, “Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people. …if we could get some movement among Palestinian leadership, what I’d like to see is a loosening up of some of the restrictions on providing aid directly to the Palestinian people.”
On May 19, 2011 President Obama gave a speech on the state of the Middle East at the State Department. In addition to laying out his policy in regards to Arab Spring, he endorsed a plan for a Two-state solution. Negotiations for which would be based on “1967 lines with mutually agreed land swaps.”
The speech received strong criticism from American Jewish groups and Republican presidential candidates. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted strongly to the speech saying that the 1967 borders were unacceptable, because they left Israel to vulnerable to military action and terrorist attacks! Obama’s continued treatment of Netanyahu has been insulting and arrogant.
During the course of Obama’s administration relations between the U.S. and Israel have deteriorated considerably. Obama sent campaign staff members to assist in defeating Benjamin Netanyahu. in spite of obama’s best efforts Netanyahu was reelected as prime minister of Israel.
Obama supplied Israel with modern bunker buster bombs. United States Foreign Military Financing for Israel has increased to $3 billion under Obama. Obama has also pledged support for Israeli military superiority in the region. Even though his treatment of Netanyahu is appalling, Obama is not as anti Israel as some people believe.
My observations
Israel is not the main obstacle to peace
This is hype that is promoted by the western press. Iraq invades Iran in a long drawn out war. This has no thing to do with Israel. The PLO tries to overthrow Jordan, once again nothing to do with Israel. Lebanon is engaged in civil war. Iraq invades Kuwait. This has nothing to do with Israel. Syria invades Lebanon around the same time of Iraq’s Invasion into Kuwait. Nothing is said in the western press or the American media. Perhaps because there is no oil to fight over! Israel is not the reason there is no peace in the Middle East, but you would never know this if you listened to the western press!
Land for peace is an illusion!
Let us do a case study. We are going to look at Hitler and Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia was strategically placed in the heart of Europe. It was part of Hitler’s plan for overrunning Europe. It had an army of 800,000 men and it had highly efficient arms industry. It had a physical barrier with the Sudeten Mountains. The western powers had promised to guarantee the Czech boarders. France could field 100 divisions which was an army 50 times the size of Germany at the time. At this time Czech was a democracy. France had agreed in writing to defend the Czech boarders and Britain and Russia had agreed to help if France did this.
Hitler starts stirring up trouble. He creates uprisings which the Czechs have no choice but to put down. Then through the use of propaganda and the media he claims the Czechs are abusing the Germany people. This was merely a pretext. At the time there were about 3 million Sudeten Germans. They had total freedom and equal rights. The propaganda said that all Hitler wanted was peace for his Sudeten kinsmen. All through the spring and summer Prime Minister Chamberlain thought Hitler wanted peace for his kinfolk. Hitler had said that he wanted the Sudeten territories returned to their rightful owners. Hitler backed the Sudeten liberation movement. (Does this remind you of a situation in Israel?) It was viewed that the Czechs were the obstacle to peace. They called this the occupied territory.
Suddenly the world viewed the Czechs as the obstacle to peace. Britain and France told Czechoslovakia they should return the occupied territories belonging to the Sudeten Germans. It was never even a part of Germany to begin with! On September 18th 1938 was Hitler’s deadline for receiving the land. The Czechs army begins withdrawing from the so-called Sudeten lands and the Czechs mountain range. Six months later Germany rolls over Czechoslovakia. Shortly after that Hitler invades Poland and World War 2 begins. The League of Nations failed to stop Hitler and this led to their demise. After World war 2 The League of Nations was replaced with The United Nations. The United Nations is making the same mistakes in the Middle East today. I argue that there is no such thing as Land For Peace.

The UN and the media work together and they are both anti-semitic!
I have already talked about the UN resolution in 1975 that declared Zionism racism. In the countless stories I see in the media it is apparent that the press holds this same point of view. Look at my next observation as an example.
The Palestinian Refugee problem is nothing but propaganda
I have talked about how Israel has received 800,000 refugees and later 600,000 more refugees and they just absorb them into the population. The PLO has had a past of putting refugees in camps for years allowing the media to film them for propaganda reasons. For a number of years they kept people in these camps. They would not allow these Arabs to go to a neighboring country. They had the money from the US to absorb them into the population, but it was not beneficial to their propaganda campaign. This also supports my last statement about the media’s Anti-Semitic views and their pursuit of ratings over human suffering.
There has never been a Palestinian people.
I covered this in the last two posts. Israel was called Israel up until 132 AD! Rome renamed it after their enemies in an attempt to stop uprisings. Israel was renamed Palestine after the philistine people. Centuries later Britain used the same name that Rome gave to the area for similar reasons. They also sought to appease the Arabs. There has never been Palestinian people! Palestinians are really Arabs. Up until the 20th century it was never argued that there was a group of people known as the Palestinian people. The Armenians that lived in the region were called Armenians. The Turks that lived there were called Turks, and the Arabs that lived there were called Arabs. The Palestinian Arabs were led out of the area by other Arabs with the promise of wiping Israel off of the map.
The Refugee camps were set up to promote the notion that there is an indigenous people called the Palestinians and they are being disenfranchised by Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth! I do not mean to say there is no suffering among the Arab Palestinians today. My only point is that it is not a result of Israel’s cruelty. It is a result of the PLO’s cruelty. Yasser Arafat would attack moderate Arabs who wanted peace with Israel in an effort to make the Palestinian Arabs radical. He killed more Arabs then Jews. It certainly sounds like he earned that peace prize. (note the sarcasm)
Conclusion
Ezekiel 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. -KJV
The bible has a multitude of predictions for the last days. One of these predictions involves Israel emerging as a nation again. We can see this right before our eyes. Israel is indeed a nation that was brought back by the sword. They had to fight for their very existence for over 100 years.
Another prediction talks about the emergence of a one world government. Now we start to see this emerge before our eyes. The first part being a global economy and global organizations like The United Nations. We tend to forget that some of these predictions are 3000 years old! As everything becomes more global we will see other biblical prophecies come to pass. We will talk about them throughout the course of this study. Get ready!!!!
