The bible has a lot of skeptics and critics. There is a lot of hatred for this book. Most universities today attempt to discredit the bible and they misrepresent many topics that relate to the bible. They have whole curriculums designed for this task. As a result of this agenda a lot of wrong information is out there and a lot of wrong beliefs come to fruition. The object is to destroy any belief in God thereby making it easier to accept a belief system in evolution. In universities you can not teach design when talking about cell structure. Everything has to be explained from an evolutionary point of view and this corrupts all the data.

As a result, we have a generation today that believes some pretty outrageous things. They believe that Jesus never existed and that he is a fictional character on the same level as Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Anything in archeology that proves the bible is omitted and theories are shown to try to discredit Moses and the Exodus. The stories found in Genesis are all challenged and reduced to fairy tales in an effort to discredit the rest of the book.

Joh 5:45  Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 
Joh 5:46  For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 
Joh 5:47  But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? 

There is something desperately wrong with the way things are progressing at the heart of these universities today. Christian households are spending tens of thousands of dollars in an effort to provide their children with a well-rounded college education. These kids are not prepared for what they are about to encounter. They enter a university that is designed to dismantle their faith and place them in deep debt as a result. After they graduate it becomes close to impossible to even find a job. These kids are placed in major bondage as a result of this corrupted system. They become Social Justice Warriors and they have a belief system rooted in Wokeness and Critical Race Theory. This belief system is nothing more than repackaged Marxism. It only brings poverty and destruction.

It is for this reason I wrote a book called The Real Battle. This book arms students with the truth that is denied them by many of these universities. The book dismantles arguments put forth by these universities. It shows how they are taking things out of context and how they are ignoring biblical archeology that fully supports the book of Genesis.

So on this page, I am going to go against the myth that Jesus never existed. I am going to go against the religion of evolution and show you the archeological evidence that verifies what the bible says. If you’re a believer this will increase your faith! If you’re a skeptic then you will have some things that will be very hard to refute. If you once believed in the word of God but the university you attended destroyed your faith in the bible then this will provide some food for thought so you can weigh ALL the evidence. You are not being told all the evidence. We are also going to look at a little church history and present a very clear picture!

Jesus Did Exist!

 His Birth

Jesus was never born on December 25th. Yet a lot of people believe that this was the day of his birth. The bible does not give a date or a day of the birth of Jesus. There are no sheep found in the field and shepherds are not out with the flocks at night in the wintertime. They are not out in the open. They are sheltered during that time of year. The bible is full of many other clues that reveal that Jesus was not born on December 25th.

Luk 2:7 And she had her first son; and folding him in linen, she put him to rest in the place where the cattle had their food, because there was no room for them in the house.

Luk 2:8 And in the same country there were keepers of sheep in the fields, watching over their flock by night.-BBE version

December 25th was selected centuries after the church was established. You can not find anything in early church writings outside of the bible that says the early church even celebrated the birth of Jesus in the first century of Christianity. Yet all the traditions of this holiday are taken as fact among many denominations. When you see a nativity scene you generally see three kings, animals, and Shepard’s all lined up to worship the new-born baby Jesus. The problem here is there was never any mention of kings that came to worship Jesus on the night of his birth in scripture. There is no record that kings came to him at all.

The bible says,

Mat 2:1 Now when the birth of Jesus took place in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is the King of the Jews whose birth has now taken place? We have seen his star in the east and have come to give him worship.-BBE version

Notice that they said we have seen his star in the east. King Herod and the rest of Israel did not see the star. This is why Herod had to ask the wise men about the first time the star appeared to them. Through the centuries and the course of tradition, the wise men were changed into kings and they were even given names. The names given were Gaspar, Balthasar, and Melchior. People think there were three kings because three gifts were presented.

The wise men come from a word translated which means Magi. This is the root word for magician. More than likely they came from Parthia which use to be Persia. At this time Israel served as a buffer state between Rome and Parthia. This was more than likely an entire caravan of wise men, but no one knows how many there were.  It was too dangerous for 3 people to travel alone across a distance so great.

I believe these wise men held the same type of office that Daniel held. Daniel was set up to be the chief of this group during the Persia Empire. Daniel probably instructed them to look for the sign of the birth of the messiah. Prophecies in the book of Daniel reveal that Daniel knew the aproximate time that Jesus would be born. It probably made King Herod nervous that this Caravan of wise men from Parthia showed up looking for a new baby king. Like Daniel, these wise men had gifts in dream interpretation. This is why God showed them in a dream not to trust Herod but to depart another way.

So when was Jesus born? Evidence points to the fall season of the year possibly after the harvest. However, no exact date can be pinpointed. One thing is certain. It was not December 25th. The subject of the birth of Jesus could take an entire book to explain.

My point is because of traditions there are a lot of people who think there are events and circumstances in the bible that are fiction but these events cannot be found anywhere in scripture. These are traditions that have attached themselves through the centuries, and the doctrines that come from them tend to lead to associations with Christianity. The example I just gave in this writing is only one of many examples of doctrinal belief that have been added to Christianity through years of tradition without any support from Scripture. These traditions are assumed to be attached to the scriptures and are handed down through generations. There are many of these traditions! Some add to and even change the meaning of scripture itself. In the end, the bible remains the final authority!

Jesus Did Exist

There are many early Christian writers from the early church who document that Jesus not only existed but that he is indeed the Christ! (anointed One) People like Polycarp, Ignatius, Clement, Mathetes, Barnabas, Papias, are just some of the early church members that write about Jesus. These were people who wrote in the first and second centuries. Even though these books are not included in the bible, their writings at the very least confirm the existence of Jesus!

There are an additional 42 references in historical writings that exist outside the bible. These writings are from people who were not Christians. It was the enemies of Christianity that actually validate and prove the existence of Jesus. Four of these references are from historians. Their historical writings are valid and they also mention Jesus. In fact, Jesus is one of the most historically documented figures from this era.

There is a movie on YouTube known as Zeitgeist. This movie is definitely anti-Christian. It also claims that Jesus never existed. It goes against some of the historians that document Jesus’ existence and it even accuses Flavius Josephus’s writings as being forgeries!

Even though Zeitgeist is attempting to rewrite history, to my surprise Zeitgeist mentions these references. The movie basically slams one of the historical references of  Josephus and accuses Josephus (historical writer) of being corrupted. Zeitgeist says the references to Jesus were added later and that it is a proven forgery. Not only is this a lie! but Zeitgeist makes the claim that because many of these references say, Christ, (which means anointed one) and the name of Jesus was not used, that probably means that the passage was not talking about Jesus at all. Well, let’s look at a few examples and you will see that all these claims are completely bogus!

This is what Josephus wrote

“At this time there was a wise man who was called Jesus, and his conduct was very good, and he was known to be virtuous, and many people from among the Jews and other nations became disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. And those who had become his disciples did not abandon their loyalty to him. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion, and that he was alive. Accordingly they believe that he was the Messiah, concerning whom the Prophets have recounted wonders”

Antiquities XVlll, 3:2

This verse is a very solid confirmation that Jesus existed. The problem is the words in red. They appear in the Greek and Arabic versions of the Josephus manuscripts, but they do not appear in the other translations. So it could be that the words in red were added later. But the words in red don’t address the existence of  Jesus. They attempt to debunk the Resurrection and the fact that he is the Messiah. Even if you want to throw out this passage and say it is unreliable there is another passage that creates a problem for Zeitgeist.

“so Ananus assembled a council of judges, and brought before it the brother of Jesus, the so-called Christ, whose name was James, together with some others, and having accused them as lawbreakers, he delivered them over to be stoned.”

Antiquities XX 9:1

Here we see a reference to Christ that is referring to Jesus. To say that because Christ is used instead of Jesus so that the passage may not be talking about Jesus is a very flimsy argument. To prove this let’s look at another historian called Tacitus.

“Christus, the founder of the Christian name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius, But the pernicious superstition, repressed for a time, broke out again, not only through Judea, where the mischief originated, by through the city of Rome also”

Annals XV, 44

So the name of Jesus is not used but do you think Tacitus is really talking about some other guy that founded Christianity which originated in Judea and later spread to Rome? Was Tacitus talking about some other person that was put to death by Pontius Pilate? I highly doubt it. This is an obvious reference to Jesus even though Tacitus only mentions him as Christ. The main problem with this Zeitgeist movie is not the fact that it is wrong. The problem is that over 100 million people have seen it. Now Zeitgeist has a significant following based on false information. A lot of people with no religious background or knowledge have now fallen for this bunk.

The Bible

Another big lie by skeptics is that religion is used to control the masses and that is why Christianity spread. After Jesus was raised from the dead and the church was born, Christianity spread throughout the region. The Roman Empire tried to crush Christianity starting with the emperor Nero. Waves of persecution came on the Christian believers. Christians were fed to lions in the Roman Coliseum. The persecution that came only caused Christianity to grow. It could not be stopped. by the end of the third century almost half of the population were Christians and the other half were Pagan.

A little over 300 years after the birth of the church a different approach was used. Constantine is at war with Maxentius for the throne of Rome. According to legend, Constantine saw a vision. He saw with his own eyes in the heavens a trophy of the cross arising from the light of the sun, carrying the message, In Hoc Signo Vinces or “with this sign, you will conquer.” Constantine put this Christian symbol on his soldier’s shields and helmets. Now Constantine’s Army has adopted a Christian sign. He becomes victorious over Maxentius. Constantine entered Rome on 29 October 312. The sign that Constantine used was the Chi-Rho.

Constantine then proclaimed that he was a Christian. He stopped the persecution of the church. He ended crucifixion as a form of punishment. During his reign, he proceeded to mix Christianity with Pagan philosophies. Councils were held during that century and this new brand of Christian Pagan thought was placed throughout the empire. At this point, there were many Christian and Pagan people. This was an attempt to combine these two groups of people.

Constantine appointed his mother Helena as Augusta Imperatrix. He gave her unlimited access to the imperial treasury in order to locate the relics from Judeo-Christian stories. From 326 to 328 Helena went on a trip to the Holy Places in Palestine in a quest to look for relics. She built and established many Christian churches in the holy land.

In 382 Jerome was commissioned by Pope Damasus I to revise the Vetus Latina (“Old Latin”) collection of Biblical texts in Latin then in use by the Church. Once it was published, it was widely adopted and eventually eclipsed the Vetus Latina and by the 13th century, it was known as the “versio vulgata“  (the “version commonly-used”) or more simply in Latin as vulgata or in Greek as βουλγάτα (“Vulgate”).

The Latin Vulgate was made the Catholic Church’s official Latin Bible at the  Council of Trent (1545–63). Jerome finished his translation in 400 AD. Not only was it the most popular translation, but it was also the main translation used for 1000 years. (400 AD – 1530 AD)

To understand where the different versions of the bible came from, or why there are so many versions, you must first understand church history. When you see church history, then you will know why different versions were needed. There was a time when English versions of the bible were illegal. Many copies were burned. As a result, other translations were made. In spite of all the skeptics, there is also a lot of Archaeological evidence that backs up the bible. Contrary to popular belief these discoveries present problems for the skeptics and the universities. They don’t include these discoveries in many university curriculums, but we will talk about them now. Let’s start by looking at the top ten archaeological discoveries that support the biblical accounts.

Now that we have some of the basic well-known discoveries down let’s explore a few more mind-blowing discoveries.
